CONTRATULATION JASON TOBY!!

September 28, 2024

Congratulations to Jason Toby for winning a Silver Medal at the NSW/ACT Blind Bowls State Championships! The tournament took place at Gosford City Bowling Club and brought together vision impaired bowlers from all over NSW. Jason, a member of Adamstown Bowling Club, showcased his skills in the singles tournament, winning three out of four round games. In the semi-finals, he triumphed with a score of 21-8, and then competed in a closely contested Gold Medal match, ultimately securing a well-deserved Silver Medal after a 14-11 match against Fred McConnell from Cudgen.

At vision impaired tournaments, players are accompanied by a support person, known as a Director. In Jason’s case, his father, Reg Toby, fulfilled this important role during the championship. Such events not only showcase the talent and dedication of the players but also highlight the support and teamwork that is essential in the sport of blind bowls. Jason’s achievement is a testament to his skill and determination, and the entire community at Adamstown Bowling Club is proud of his success at the championships.
